In a new age where the internet is everything, the idea of social networking is dominating. Whether it be finding long last classmates, friends, or connecting with your favorite celebrities and athletes, you either have or know someone who has a Facebook or Twitter account. This vast world wide web is where I came across Texas Rangers relief pitcher Jason Grilli.
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Todd Grasley and I currently work at the NBC affiliate in Orlando as a video journalist for our high school sports site, High School Playbook.com. During the past year, I have done everything from shooting and editing video, to creating blogs, and promoting our site through social networking. My career goal is to become a sports anchor and share my love for both local and national sports with the community.
While surfing the internet, I came across a post by Jason about his website and his endeavors both on and off the baseball diamond. As someone who is passionate about sports and journalism I was eager to get involved. It is my belief through working with all skill levels of athletes, that each one has a story that extends beyond x’s and o’s. Jason’s story of entrepreneurship, charity as well as on the field accolades is one that intrigued me. Fans want to 
know that athletes are normal people, who go out to eat, spend time with their families, and enjoy a little R&R.
Over the course of time, this blog will explore each of those avenues. We will delve into Jason’s professional life by videotaping his workouts, his throwing sessions, and interviews. We will explore his personal side, what does he do when he isn’t playing baseball. Where does he like to hangout, eat, and have a good time? Lastly, we will explore the business side of Jason Grilli. The products he promotes and why he believes firmly in them, the charities he supports and fundraisers he holds.
